Dr Charlotte Man is a specialist consultant dermatologist and Fellow of The Australasian
College of Dermatologists. This qualification was obtained after four years of intensive
dermatology specialty training that concluded with fellowship examinations to ensure
the highest competence in the recognition and management of all aspects of disorders
of the skin, hair and nails.
After reading Music at the University of Oxford, Dr Man completed her medical training
and resident years at the University of Southampton, UK. Since graduating in 2012, Dr
Man worked in a variety of regional and tertiary Emergency Departments in both
Australia and abroad, and completed 2 years of paediatric training in Sydney. Dr Man
then completed her specialist dermatology training at numerous locations across
Queensland, including at the Royal Brisbane and Women’ hospital, Queensland
Children’s Hospital, Cairns Base Hospital, Queensland Institute of Dermatology, Princes
Alexandra Hospital, and the Mater Hospital, Brisbane. She has also spent time working
in rural outreach centres and at Aboriginal communities in Mackay and Rockhampton.
Dr Man enjoys contributing her knowledge and experience to research, having multiple
publications in both national and international peer-reviewed journals. Having a strong
interest in medical education, she also holds an academic appointment as a Senior
Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is a Visiting Medical Officer at the Mater
Hospital, Brisbane.
Dr Man is fully trained in all aspects of medical and surgical dermatology. Her areas of
special interest include: acne, skin cancer, psoriasis, eczema, hair disorders, female
genital dermatology and paediatric medicine.
