If you have noticed dark patches, freckles, new brown spots or simply uneven skin pigmentation, it is important to have these checked by a Dermatologist firstly to ensure that they are not dangerous growths. In most cases, such changes are benign but can be cosmetically unappealing.
Methods to reduce pigmentation include being very strict with your sun protection, and seeing a Dermatologist or our Dermatology Nurse to optimise your skincare regimen.
Depending on the cause of your pigmentation, prescription creams, including compounded/bespoke creams, may help. In some cases, a tablet or other treatments including localised peels can reverse the pigmentation.
